Whispers Beneath the Water

Beneath the simmering surface, a Fitzroy River Turtle glides quietly through its river home. Even though the river looks calm, this endangered species faces many challenges as its habitat continues to change. Through this painting, I wanted to capture both the beauty and the fragility of one of Australia's unique native animals. My hope is that it reminds people that every species deserves a place to live, and by protecting our rivers, we can ensure these remarkable turtles continue their silent journey for generations to come.
