Too Rare to Lose

Have you ever looked closely at the forest and wondered what animals might be hiding there? I painted the Blue-tailed Skink because it is one of Australia’s rare and endangered reptiles. I wanted to show how beautiful this little lizard is, especially its bright blue tail. It is hiding among the leaves because that’s where it feels safe. Imagine if one day animals like this disappeared forever. That would be so sad! I hope my painting reminds people that even the smallest animals are important. If we protect nature, we can help make sure amazing animals like the Blue-tailed Skink have a future.
