The orange bellied parrot

The orange bellied parrot is 10mm long and 28mm in diameter. They eat seeds, berries, flowers and fruit from low plants. They do not actually have orange bill but have a black bill. The female parrot lays 3-6 eggs per clutch with an average of about 4.5-4.6 eggs. The parrot breeds and migrates south west in the corner of Tasmania. In autumn they migrate across the bass strait to Victoria and South Australia. Their habitat is lost because of predators or habitat and a tiny population size.
