The guardian of the night

for the Masked Owl

Vulnerable

By Adinda, age 9

For this competition, I have chosen the Masked Owl. I don’t want this amazing animal to become extinct because it is an apex predator, and if one animal disappears from the food chain, it can cause lots of problems for the environment around us. The Masked Owl is endangered because of habitat loss and pollution caused by humans. I created the tree using brown and black newspaper. The black newspaper is a symbol of dead tree, and the words represent the wisdom of owls. I hope my drawing helps people see a brighter future for these amazing wildlife creatures and inspires them to protect them.
