Tell a Tail

for the South-eastern Red-tailed Black-Cockatoo

Endangered

By Grace, age 8

Entered 8 August 2026

I saw a black cockatoo for the first time when I went on a trip to Queensland. I wondered why I don’t see any in NSW and my mum told me they are endangered. From then, I always look for cockatoos around where I live. I have t seen another red tail black cockatoo again. But I try my best at protecting the environment to help them survive.
