Tasmanian Devils are endangered mainly due to a facial tumour disease, a rare contagious type of cancer, as well as roadside deaths and habitat changes. Since it emerged in the 1990s, the disease has wiped out more than 90% of the wild population of Tasmanian Devils!!! There are only about 20,000 left in the wild today.
