Silent Wings, Lasting Hope

for the Masked Owl

Vulnerable

By Roschelle, age 11

I was inspired to draw the Australian Masked Owl because it is a beautiful yet often unseen species that needs our protection. The surrounding leaves represent its forest home, while its watchful eyes remind us that wildlife is always depending on us to care for the environment. The eyes of the owl are also pleading us that we are the last hope for them. Through this artwork, I hope to raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural habitats for future generations.
