for the Christmas Island Blue-tailed Skink

When I heard “Christmas in July”, it reminded me of Christmas Island. That’s how I found the Christmas Island Blue-tailed Skink. I was surprised to learn that such a tiny lizard is critically endangered. Because it is so small and easy to overlook, I painted it much larger than it is in real life. I want everyone to notice it, because I believe we can only protect what we see. My wish is for the Christmas Island Blue-tailed Skink to always have a safe home, where it can be with its family, enjoying the sunshine, rainforest, and beautiful beaches of Christmas Island every Christmas.
