Save My Song

for the Noisy Scrub-bird

Endangered

By Rita, age 6

I painted a Noisy Scrub-bird singing while a bushfire burns below. I chose this bird because its song is beautiful and special. The red and orange colours represent the bushfire threatening its home. Noisy Scrub-birds are endangered, and bushfires can destroy the thick plants where they live and hide. The bird is singing for help. I want people to protect the forest and keep these special birds safe. If we save their homes, we can save their beautiful songs too.
