Koala's home in flames

I love koalas, so I painted a koala caught in a dangerous bushfire. I want people to imagine how terrifying it must be for a helpless koala to watch its forest home burn away. Threats like uncontrolled fires, campfires and cigarettes leave this beautiful creature with nowhere safe to go. Imagine if someone destroyed your home—you would feel scared, heartbroken, and unsafe. No living creature deserves to go through that. I put all my effort and passion into this artwork to give a voice to Australia’s endangered koalas. I hope my painting reminds everyone that nature is a home we all need to protect and care for.
