Eucalyptus Benthamii - Camden White Gum, Nepean River Gum

for the Camden White Gum

Critically Endangered

By Jacob, age 10

Entered 9 August 2026

The Nepean River Gum is listed as critically endangered due to habitat destruction, dam construction, isolation and inbreeding and environmental pressures. I used palette knives and cotton buds with acrylic paint to create my artwork. I used different shades of green to create the leaves then used brown, orange, grey and white to create the ground. At the end of I used the edge of the knives with white and black to create the trunks.
