A Safe Place to Dream

for the Australian Sea-lion

Endangered

By Leanne, age 7

As the little sea lions sleep together, the ocean gently wraps around them like a warm blanket. Above them, the sunlight dances through the water, while tiny fish swim quietly around their peaceful home. For these little ones, the ocean is more than just water. It is where they are growing up, where they feel safe, and where their dreams begin. I painted this picture because I wanted to imagine a world where every baby sea lion can grow up surrounded by love, beauty and a safe ocean home. I hope their home will always be there for them.
