A Safe Home for Best Friends

for the Regent Honeyeater

Critically Endangered

By Bona, age 8

Entered 8 August 2026

I painted two Regent Honeyeaters and named them Sweetie and Annabelle. They are best friends who love flying together in the bush. In real life, these special birds are running out of places to live because trees are being cut down. I feel sad that they might lose their home. I want people to look at my painting and help protect trees to save their homes.
